Uy the courteous invitation of Rev.
Mr. Smick and soma of eur. friends at
Myrtle Creek we ; had the pleasure of
discoursing to our old parishioner last
Sunday, it being tho opening day of the
new Churcli. It was certainly an au
spicious occasion in many respects.
They have the neatest and lest finished
Church in rdl this country, and its
acoustics are well nigh perfect. The
style is gothic, and for ; architectural
beauty it is not easily surpassed. Our
famous Church builder, Andrew Jack
son Jones, was the contractor and
architect, and the cost was $1714.60!
Wejvvere asked to raise a collection,
which we did, and 281 was the net
result. We hope to see this beautiful
Church out of debt entirely : in the uar
future. To the energy of Mrs. Buick
and the enterprise 'of Pev.' Mr. Smick
the people feel much indebted. The
building committee, Messrs. Buick,
Wiley and Uncle Hans. Weaver, did
nobly, and especially the ch.iirman.
The dimensions are 30x40. auditorium,
