and was editor of a paper in Texas
under the auspices of the Grange, called
the "Independent Farmer." He hopes
to settle with us and is now with his
family at the Central Hotel.

has concluded to situate himself in

ness, and knowing him as we do, a first

The other day when we were in Cor
vallis we were agreeably surprised to

years ago at Athland. He is still pur

day evening the occasion being the birthday
