Oakland, met with a serious accident by his

The dance at the skating rink Thursday
night, was a pleasant affair, and enjoyed by
the young people. The music by Lynch'a
String Band was of the best; At the wee
hours of midnight, the dancers partook of

Miss Fanny Wright, recently from Illi
nois and visiting friend in the French set
tlement, on last Saturday had the misfor
tune to fall while crossing a fence and dislo'
cated her shoulder. Dr. S. Hamilton was
called and succeeded in resetting the dislo
cated shoulder and it is to be hoped the
young lady may soon recover from the in
jury.
