Some two or three montha since, Mias
Laura Burnett contracted- severe cold, dis
fastened itself upon ber and she was
auun beyond the reacb of the beat medual
skill. Every means was used to save her
precious life, but all was ana vailing I er
friends realized that she must go. When
health, aba often talked to the writer
and ounversed freely witb others in referenoe
to the futura and expreased a desire aim
purpose to bewme a Christian, and wht u
told that abe must die, she evinoed no snr
priaeor alarm, and said "it aould be better,"
for all waa well fche passed away without
a struggle, and looked peaceful and serene
even anulin after death.
The sommunity deeply sympathise with
the bereaved father and afflicted children,
half of whoae family have crossed the roll

healthiest of all, liks a beautiful flower, is
