An attempt was made by some

Cole. At about 1 o'clock in the
morning Mr. Cole heard the

Dealing in dirt, especially the
productive sort that has made
Benton county famous for its
fruit and garden sass, is a hobby
of James L. Lewis, the wide
awake real estate hustler of this
city. Mr. Lewis is a firm be
liever that there is no better in
vestment on earth than land in
Benton county and he is always
doing his utmost to induce
prospective settlers to have the
same confidence in its crop yield-
i ing qualities. That he is usually
successful goes without saving.
and of late he has been especial
ly so, for since the big football
game at Portland . on November
21, he has sold $38,125 worth of
property, and, with the excep
tion of one small farm, this has
all been Benton county property.
He is now making plans for 1909
and expects to make the coming
year a record breaker in realty
deals. To help him out in this
he has secured a large list of
some of the v very best property
in the country, consisting of
large and small farms, fruit and
garden tracts, poultry ranches,
res idence lots and business sites.
All his property is conveniently
located and he will be pleased to
show and talk its merits to any
and all intending buyers. 12-22
