Realizing that it is their show
and that they are the people
most to be benefitted by it, the
stockmen of Benton county are
taking alively interest in the big
stock show that is to , be held in
Corvallis on Mary's River flat,
May 15th'-16th. From many
directions have come, letters to
the committee stating that the
writers intend to bring stock to.
the show for selling - purposes,
this being a feature which will
make the show a greater success
than that of last year.
Stockmen throughout the
county who are planningto bring
stock to Corvallis to'sell during
the show, should send a descrip

j buyers to Corvallis on those
: dates. This is a special favor to
the stockmen and they should
avail themselves of the oppor
tunity of listing the animals they
wish to offer for sale, as buyers
cannot be persuaded to come
from abroad unless a reasonable
amount of stock is assured for
their purposes.
The committee is getting out t
some fine large posters, cata
logues are being distributed and
arrangements are in progress for
competent judges to be present
to pass upon the various kinds
of stock. There will be a judge
for horses, another for cattle,
another for sheep, hogs, goats,
etc.
