The democratic press is very busy just now trying to have the paople believe two things: First, that the President and the lead ers ot the republican party are at serious variance every public that W. J. Bryan and Roosevelt hold, practically, to the same principles and policies. Concerning the first, what are the facts? In the senate a few republican senators, believed to be under the control of certain great corporations, opposed the efforts of their own party in that body, acting in harmony with the President, to control these corporations. In their efforts they had the active and persist ent aid of the democratic minor ity. Instead of being opposed by the leaders of the party the President has met only the op position of the corporations he sought to control and that of an "obstructive democratic minority engaged in playing very cheap politics. The same conditions prevail in the house, with this exception; there the republican majority is so great that it is NOTICE OF APPOINTMENT OF VIEWERS. Notica is hereby given that E.
