- Bryan is waiting for Time to
rindicate him. Bs of good cheer,
"William, the time is not far dis
tant. Parker will be beaten so
mich worse than you were in
3896 and 1900, that the recollec
tion will remain asa bright dream
in your memory, .and fall like an
oily balsam on your wounds.
Three months is not long to wait,
William. " "
Norman Williams, now in jail
at the Dalles for the murder of
Mrs. Nesbitt and her daughter,
Alma, has been partially convert
ed to the Holy Roller faith.
Mrs.' J. H. Cross, who is the
aoain instrument of his soi-disant
salvation, is expecting to get him
to make a confession regarding!
the murders, but he has'nt, as he
says, been "saved" yet, and so
he is postponing the confession
mntil it is decided whether he
gets a new trial or not no use
spoiling the chances that may
hang on a new trial by a prema
ture confession that may preju
dice his case. If the new trial is
mot granted, and there is no other
nope of his getting off. then
he is going in for full "and free
salvation with both feet. It looks
as it he were trying to make his
.Salem trip end in the asylum in
stead of in the penitentiary.
