Mr. W. 11. Strouhle, editor of the East
Portland Vindicator, is one of the rint writers

editorial helm. His brother editors in West
Portland will have to look out for their laurels.
Mr. Strouble !esides being so fine a writer is a
big hearted gentleman, and a man worthy of

W. Ii, Dillard, Esq., is soon to leave
fr the States. lie ha formed a partnership
with one of the most prominent lawyers (S Nor
folk, Virginia. We have many acquaintances
in that chivalrous city, and while we shall miss
hiiiL here, we congratulate them in such an ac
cession. He has won hosts of friends by his
courteous manners while in Oregon, and bids
fair, if he remains here, to become one of the
most prominent lawyers in the state. He is a
highly educated gentleman, and possesses beai-Jes
great share of mother wit,: inherited from an
intelligent ancestry. "
