death of Daniel Sanj mis who lived for eighteen
years in this village and vicinitv. On the
9th of October last, at his residence in' Baby
on Long Island, surrounded by numer

stricken down by a fit of apoplexy and died in
.fifteen minutes after the attack. He was 84
years of ago and his death will be received

ticket for the State officers in Ma3sa
chuFetts is elected.
Milwaukee, Nov. 4 --Wisconsin has
gone Democratic by 0,300 majority.
The Republicans concede the defeat of

Newwark, N. J., Nov. 5. The Sen.
ate und House will be Republican.
Ronton Xov 5 Prico is elected to
Congress Washburn will probably

St. Panl, Min , Nov. 5. Davis is

probably be a Republican majority on

In Maryland the Democrats elect

The Sheriff of Umatilla County ar
rived last evening by the Emma Hay
ward having in charge three Indians
who have been sentenced to the Pen
itentiary from that county. Two of
the Indiana are sent upon a charge of
stealing horses. Tho third one was
convicted of committing rape upon a
