heard the petition of Jesse Chitwood, ad
ministrator of the estate of Mary Chitwood
deceased, asking tor an order to sell tbe real
estate of said deseased. situate in Polk Counly-,
and being the so'uth half of the Donation
Land Claim of Jefferson Chitwood and wife
and known in surveys and plats of tho United
States as Chitwood's Island, situated in Town
ship seven (7) South in Range number three
( 3 ) west of the Willamette Meridian, notifica
(No, 4692 four thousand six hundred and
ninety-two, and being that portion of said
Land Claim set off by the Surveyor General to
tbe said Mary Chitwood deceased, containing
one hundred and sixty acres; and it appear
ing to the Court that due and legal notice had
been given as by law required to all persons
interested and tbe next of kin of said deseased;
and it further appearing that it is necesary to
sell the said real estate to pay the debts of sail
deceased and the expenses of administration;
and it further appearing that there is not
Buflicient personal property to satisfy the dents
of said deseased, and that there is a large
amount of debts against said estate un
paid after disposing of all the personal proper
ty, and no person appearing to make objections
to tbe sale of said real estate for the purpose of
paying tbe debts of said deseased : It is there
fore ordered, decreed and adjudged that tbe
said real estate above described, be sold by
said administrator to pay the debts, for gold
coin in hand, ON SATURDAY TUB

at 10 o'clock, A. M., at the Court House door
in Dallas, Polk County Oregon, at public auc
tion to tbe highest bidder, and that a copy of
