Settled. Tbe question which has agitated
the minds of many of our' citizens, as to
whether the Grand Round Reservation was to
t thrown open for settlement or not, may be
considered as settled. There lias been an
appropriation of $4,000 made for a survey,
preparatory to dividing tbe land among the
Indians. Patents are to be given to the Indians
far the land, and it is to be free from all
seizures for debts or other liabilities. Those
Indians who do not choose to .accept patents
for lands and occupy them, are to be removed
to a large reservation in south-eastern Oregon .
Those persons who have been waiting for this
tract of land to be thrown open for settlement
X3y doit lock elsewhere.
