1. It is sinful. Profane swearing h

2. It h vulgar. The practice gives

3. It is inexcusable. He whose
tongue is vibrating with oaths will gen
erally admit that his conduct in that
recpect is altogether indefensible.,
4. It is injurious. The profane

for he brings down upon it the judg
iaett of Heaven. " Because of swear
ing," says the prophet, ' the land
mourneth." " -
5 It is uaproStable. The man guilty

which there is no bait attached. He
is a volunteer for Satan. He works for
the devil and "finds himself."
6. It is dangerous. The Lord will
not hold him guiltless who takes His

'A Wild Cat Takes a Child out

were two pretty sisters who had tnar-

Homicide.-This morning (Thurs

McCourt in the lower portion of the
abdomen, close to tho pelivic region,
from the effects of which he un it in
