There were three trees, a large one in the center and two smaller revolving ones were placed on each side situated in the end where the pulpit stands. The trees were loaded with gifts some of which w< re very valuable. Dolls hid their rosy faces in the brain lies, bead work glit tered among the leaves and cornucopias swung to and fro like the bright hanging nests of the ( »rude. The estimated value of the presents on these trees reaches 1 «Unit $ 1 , 0 0 0 , which is a liberal sum for a country town, and we doubt very much that «noth' r town iu the State has done mi well. The exercises were short and appropri ate. being introduced bv a Christmas song by the little folks: a ch ipt< r in tin Hilde was read by llev. Tlu>s. Condon who made some excellent and Appropriate remarks and a prayer: and then the work of distribu ting the presents lagan and eontinind till about half-past nine o'clock.
