Increased alcoholism means the
deterioration of the nation, and
the government promptly seeks to
stem the tide by throwing string
ent, even harsh restrictions around
tne sale and cousumption of
liquor. Profoundly instructive
our knowledge that efforts for
practical intemperance are the
same in all nations and under all
conditions. The day has gone
past when it is necessary to prove
that unrestricted liquor selling is
a curse that it undermines the
family, destroys morality and in
creases pauperism. Germany
