Conference of the Evangelical
Association of North America as
sembled in Spokane, Wash., the
second week in -May, lstil.
Preliminaiy meeting viz: The
Sunday School and Tract Union,
Missionary cociety.and F.duchtioii
al association were held on Tues
day and Wednesday.
Kesolutions were passed by the
Educational association as follows:

Lafayette, did in the month of
Febtuary, I.SS'.I, convey, assign
and deed the court house block or
siptare and the east half of block

Evangelical association on condi
tion that said conference maintain
an instisution of learning there
upon, and

of said conference (w hich is the
only legal rregon conference) were
prevented from managing an J con
trolling said institution of learning
during the past ;ear by ceitain
parties claiming to represent the
Oregon conference, but who by
their course at Albany, O egon oil

connection with the Oregon con
forence of the Evangelical associa
tion and hence, were lcuallv dis
qualified from jierformiiig any of
the duties connected with said
seminary, and

by the Oregon conference at Al

respect to the action of these men
who have been illegally managing
said seminary the past year, has
