James W. Silver, a pioneer of
Polk county, and one of her
weal'hy .citizens, died at Stiver
station Tuesday, in his 7bth vear.
He came to Oregon in 1S44 and
married Miss Pybiirn in 1851 . He
leaves two sons, Marshal and
G.een B. Suver, and a daughter,
Mrs. Fugn.i, of Parker's station.
He was sick only ten day.
