States flag and damaged consider
able property. The department on
the same day ordered him to de
mand full reparation of Salvador,
the leinstatement and protection
of the con-ul and to see that all
rights of the United S' tes and its
citizens are ohserved. Last night
the depar'ment received word from
Mizner. stating that the provisional
government of Salvador had
hoiited our flng over the United
States consulate the day before, at
the same time saluting it with 21
guns, and that the consul has been
reinstated and that the right-i of
the United S'aics and its citizens
