greatest mine owner in America is
negotiating for the transfer of
millions of tons of this ore to Al
bany, where reduc ion works will
eventually be erected. The mines
are within a few miles of the Ore
gon Pacific railroad and it is only
a question of time, and a very
short time, when a bra- ch of this
road will bring the mines in direct
communication with Albany, and
they will prove a hundredfold
more beneficial to the city than
many other schemes proposed.
