District Attorney H. H- Hewitt
left yesterday for McMinnville. to
conduct the prosecution in the
Scott murder case. Concerning
the trial the Yamhill Reporter
contains the following: "The
trial of the Scott murder c se opens
next Tuesday. There will un
doubtedly be a -troni effort jiut
forth to clear the old man. His
attorney talks confidently and re
fers to evidence that will be pre
sented which will throw light up-
on many peculiar circumstanccM.
It is not probable, however, that
there will be any startling rienou-
ment in the trial, establishing '
either the guilt or innocence of the :
prisoner."
