Wasco Observer: Our Grant's correspondent reports a fatal acci dent as havingoccurred last Friday evening at the John Day fish wheel recently constructed by M. A. McKay, at the mouth of the John Day. Mr. McKay and a hired man were working at th? wheel when the boat in which they were standing got loose end begun to drift under the wheel. Mr. McKay had presence of mind enough to jump onto the wheel and was saved but got badly bruised.
