Not to nee our stoves and raises !
ttttorft buying is a mistake. Mis
takes are alwaya costly. In heat
ing stoves we have the largest as
wl as the most carefully selected
stock in the city. The stoves we
offer were not bought ns an experi

know what eacl stove will tin, and
they were bought for cash, so the
price ia right. We have special

If there is anything wi.-ng v.ith
the following story it can be
charged up t the Walla Walla
Statesman: The following
is told of an oldtiine Walla Walla
. diior, and as it has never before
appeared in print v. give it space :
When a small boy his father, since
lead, was running a weeklv paper
in one of our western towns. 'in.-
lay the advance agent of a show
came along and ordered some
posters printed upon cotton cloth,
but Mrsome reason he neglected
to call n.r them and they were I'-tt
on the printer's hands. The
editors wife ran across them, and.
as cloth was then high on this
coast, she took the posters home
and used them them tolinea pair of
pants she was i. inking for the
editor above mentioned, then a
boy of 10 years. Time passed on
nud the pants grew threadbare,
and at school one day he accident
ally tore the seat out. leaving about
twelve inches of the lining exposed
to view. Thisof itself would have
made the average school boy smile,
but imagine their mirth and the
teacher's consternation when they
observed the following word stan.l
ing out bildly upon the lining in
large type: "' Moors open at 7
