Montana election eases to-morrow.
Senator Cameron to day intro
duced a service pension Lill, pro
viding that all persons who served
in the late war shall receive a ser
vice jieneioit of sjU per month and
a per diem pension of one cent for
every day's service.
Senator Kvarts to-day presented
an amendment he projioscd to
oiler to the Chinese enumeration
bill. He proposes to make certifi
cates sumcent evidence of lawful
right to remain in the Urittd
States instead of sole evidence, and
to except all children ot Chinese
parents born in the United States
from the provisions of the bill.
Another amendment Ftrikes out
the third section, which provides
for the arrest and deportation or
imprisonment of Chinese found
after September 1st, lSIKi, without
proper certificates. Section seven
requires that Chinese leaving the
United States shall surrender their
certificates for cancellation. To
