The Hop fi rowers.
Hop growers of California have
formed an association to protect
and at the same time to advance
their industry, and it is announce. I
will invite the hop growers of Ore
gon and Washiugton to unite with
them. The new organization is
only a few days old, but for a long
time such a plan has been under
consideration, and the details will
soon be decided on. Over a thou
sand acres of hop land was repre
sented nt the meeting by the
twenty-three gentlemen present.
It was decided to form a general
association without arbitrary aims,
the growing of hops as cheaply as
lossik!e. and improvements of
prices and conditions of marketing
being the chief ends in view.
