The medical world are making
great progress in their field, gain
ing knowledge of greater scope,and
bringing out new theories that ac
count for causes and suggest treat
ment that will lead to more satis
factory resrlts in the curing of
maladies. One of the most impor
tant of these theories is that,
or rather the discovered fact, of
bacilli or microbes, as the founda
mental cause of disease. In regard
to these it is said that we had
already ths microbe that infests
the spleen of sheep, that which
