The Japanese Tea.
Thi very unique anl pleasing
Japanese Tea given by the ladies of
the Presbyterian church at the
armory lo-ed lact evening. It
was attended by fully as great a
thro ig as on the opening evening.
The programme as announced was
fully carried out, except the cornet
solo of Prcf. Parid Link, which
wa unavoidably omitted on ac
count of the absence of the accom
panyist. A beautiful piano solo
was played by Mis Anna Ilouk.
The recitation bv Miss Jesse Wag
goner, of Corvallis, was highly ap
preciated. and the solo by Miss
Minnie Van Horn was sung in her
most pleasing manner. The affair
ha3 been an entire success in every
way. The amount taken in was

will b" realized after the expenses
are paid.

A team owned by L. Faulkner
ran away yesterday on Montgom
ery street. L. W. Deyoe, who was
taking his two little boys to school,
saw the team coming down the
street, aud he seized one of the
lads and carried him out of the
team's way. The other ran behind
a wood pile. The team ran into
the wood pile and tht boy was
knocked down and received a se
vere wound upon the head. Dr.
Maston was called and dressed the
wound, which ?s not dangerous.
