A Cabin Bornrd and the Occupants Walk 70

Shortly after midnight Monday
night three yonng men of thiacitv,
M. H. Monteith, Fred W. Koss and
Clyde Hill, arrived in this city,
after a walk of 70 miles from the
hot springs 30 miles above Uates
ville on th line of the Oregon
Pacific.
Thev had been spending several
j days in company with Claud Mans
i field, wlio had a cabin and owns a
claim there. On Friday alternoon
while they were absent from the
! cabin it caught fire and burned
, down, with all the contents, in
i eluding three or four months' pro-
visions, $40 worth of blankets,
guns, etc. A watch and some gold
and silver money which was in the
: tire was seen at the jewelry store
. of F. M. French yesterday in a half

young men remained one day,
