One of the workmen was discharged
and the others were held to await
the action of the grand jury on a

The Albany men are indignant
at this proceeding and have began
suit in Justice Humphrey's court
in this city against Dr. Smith to re
cover possession of the mine. W.
K. Bilyeu is attorney for the Albany
company and C. E." Wolvertou for
Dr. Smith. 4. bitter fight is grow
ing out of the dispute.

this city and Lebanon carry no

branch of the Southern Pacific and
the nev extension of the Oregon

rapidly growing prosperity.
