in Linn County.
Mr. J. F. McCartney of Soda
ville, formerly a prominent citizen
of Haiiisburg is in this city. He
has conversed with many of the
voters of Linn county, and says
that he has noted 20 democrats
w ho have avowed their intention of
voting for Harrison. All of these
men voted democratic at the June
election.
K. R. Humphrey, a stauch
democrat, who runs a saw-mill
above he nation, says that every j
hand in the mill will vote for liar-1
rison. Mr. Humphrey will also I
vote for protection and says he has
made a record of 40 voters who !

kicked. He was unconscious for
about ten hours, and for a while
