some eight orher medals were
found. These hurr were all alike.
They w?re relics of the historic
campaign of 1840, when William
Henry Htrnsou and John Tyler
run for President and Vice Presi
dent respectively. The medals
bore the inscription, 'Tappecanoe
and Tyler too.' Mr. M-CWu has
proimseu to yiuc jIr. Haiieuoi-e
of the medals to-day.
The abve story seems very
strange and is giyeu as it was re
ceived. As it was told oy a risher
man it perhaps has a "fishy" odor-
