company, yesterday sued for and
was allowed a writ of attachment
against the Oregou" Pacific railroad
company's steamer Eastern Ore
gon, and John Birmingham was
appointed receiver. The writ was
served on the vessel at her berth
at the sea wall, and she was taken
to the Main street wharf and
docked. The history of the East
ern Oregon is about as follows:

one of gold for tiie chief and the
other of silver for the assistant,

will be tiie neatest in the state.
