Plans formulated by the Push
Club, and tho Amount of Money
that will be required to carry out
the project.
The Oregon Commission to the
St. Louis Exposition have offered to
allow Coos County to construct a
pavilliou within the stockade of the
Oregon building.
The Oregon
building will’consist of a block house
and stockade, snd Coos County will
be the only county in the state to
have a building within the Oregon
headquarters, hence it is veryimport-
ant that the people of Coos County
seize this opportunity as it will be
the one great opportunity to adver
tise the resources of the county, and
the good results will many times re
pay the outlay. This building will
be used exclusively to display the
Coos County exhibit. In order to
take advantage of this offer it will
be uecessary for our people to furn
ish the material framed ready to
bo constructed. Mr. Peter Loggie
is drawing the plan fo r a suitable
building along tho lines of the North
Bend pavillion. This building is to
be 4G by GO feet and the inside will
bo surfaced and given a hard oil
finibli. The interior will be finish
ed in native Coos County woods,
fiuished natural and polished, a sec
tion being devoted to each of the
many varieties of valuable timber
found in Coos County. This build
ing will be the main feature of the
Coos County exhibit, tho entire
building boing an exhibit of Coos
County woods.
Apart trom the wood exhibit, this
building will contain the dairy, min
eral, horticultural, agricultural, fish
and manufacturimg exhibits. With
out a Coos County building these
exhibits would be scattered through
out the different buildings at the
exposition and would be lost sight
of among the large number of other
exhibits. ' With the building situat
ed as it will be every person visit
ing the Oregon headquarters must
necessarily become acquainted with
tho resources of Coos County.
In order to derive the full benefit
from this exhibit it will bo neces
sary to have for distribution a large
quantity of pamphlets descriptive
of tho resources of Coos County.
Inasmuch as the exposition will be
open for seven months and will be
visited by millions o f people it will
be necessary to have a very large
quantity of descriptive literature,
and the Committeo hove estimated
tho expense necessary for literature
alone at $1500.00. It is also esti
mated that it will require an uddi
