A camp meeting is in progress conducted by Rev. Starmer assisted by Rev’s Smith, Allen, Pogue and Summerlin. Good attendance and much interest is manifested. Since our last items from Fish- trap a very sad accident has hap pened that casts a gloom over our entire community, and left a vacant chair and aching hearts in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brewer. On Saturday forenoon Otis and Perry, their only boys, started for the hills on a hunt, taking their shot guns. They reached the top of the hill back of J. H. Lamb’s homo and berries being plentiful they stood their guns againBt a log and went to picking berries. By acci dent Otis’ number 10 gauge shot gun was discharged, the entire load entering his left side ranging up ward, coming out at his back. His brother Perry ran to bis assistance, and catching him before he fell, the only words spoken by him was “ I ’m shot.” Perry carried him aways toward home but wns forced to leave him and go for help which came immediately. Dr. Culin was phoned for but arrived to late to be of any assistance as the boy lived only a very short time. The breaking of the news to father and mother was sad indeed, as be was almost idolized. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Hare at the home of the parents of disceased, at 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon. The remains was laid to rest in the Robison cemetery. The family has the sympathy of the entire commun ity. H at S eed . California Co-Operative Medical Company. IF GOD IS LOVE, WHY NOT HAVE MORE OF IT ON EARTH? J. T .
