business.
T. J. Stitt, late of the Cape
Blanco lighthouse and recently
sent to Heceta Head, near Sinslaw,
has been promoted to first assist

The act to regulate the barbers’
business is now a law, and Oov.
Oeer baa appointed an examining
board.
Barbers, therefore, like
doctors, will have to be of "oar
school and ethics” to get a license
and praotice their calling.
Mr. Macy and fnmily moved last
week into the second-story rooms
in the Coqnille Pharmacy build
ing. The property they were oc
cupying was wanted by the owner,
nod everythingelse being occupied,
temporarily he fixed up these
rooms for residence.
Rev. E. Edwards, pastor of the
English Baptist Church at Miners-
ville, Pa., when suffering with rheu
matism, was advised to try Cham
berlain's Pain Bnlm. He says: “ A
few applications of this liniment
proved of grent service to me.
It
subdued the infiainmation and re
lieved the pain.
Should any suf
ferer profit by giving Pain Balm a
trial it will please me.”

Our friend, Martin Johnson,
formerly a citizen here, and who
established the Coquille Furniture
Co's business and manufacturing
plant, now run by Mr. Jacobson,

Sam McAdams, one of the com
missioners of Carry county, and
a thrifty blacksmith and wagon-
maker at Langlois, has disposed of
his business there to O. P. Haag-
eusen and John Jenson, with the
intention to move elsewhere.
Mr.
Me was a former citizen and me
chanic in this community, and he
may have an inteutiou to return.
We will interview him, or learn
his intentions from persons who
know, at the earliest opportunity.
As the season of the year when
pneumoniu, la grippe, sore throat,
coughs, colds, catarrh, bronchitis
and lung troubles are to be guarded
against, nothing “ is a fine substi
tute,” will “ answer the purpose,” or
is “just as good” ns One Minute
Cough Cure.
That is the one in
fallible remedy for all lung, throat
or bronchial troubles.
Insist vig
orously upon having it if “ some
thing else "is offered you.
