Captured More Medals at Omaha Than Any
Other State.
Omaha, Neb.,Nov. 11.—There is no
little exultntion ornong the Oregon
representatives to the Trans-Missis,
sippi exposition tonight.
The re
port of the committee on awards
was made public this eveuing, and
the findings are eminently sntisfac-
to rj, so far as the state’s exhibits
are concerned. Oregon is awarded
128 medals, three more thnn was
given to any other state, and five
diplomas of the highest award of
merit.
A summary of the awards shows
that O ngon agricultural displays
led, with 18 medals; mining ami
minerals, 37; educational, 5; horti
cultural, 50; fishery, 2; forestry, 9;
and miscellaneous, 7. Twenty-two
medals are gold, 27 are silver, and
37 bronze. There are 41 honorable
mentions.
The war investigating commission
will go to Santiago.
