It will force
a plutocratic press and a foreign
money power to reveal the hidden
hand of American politics, and
establish an impassible barrier be
tween the toiling masses of Amer
ica aud the shy locks and pensioned
lords of the world. And if an at
tempt is made to force national
bank notes upon the public, through
such channels as they are by law
made a legal tender, we will estab
lish a redemption bureau and
through existing laws force the sec
retary of the treasury to unload the
locked-up grenbacks for the benefit
of the people.
The struggle of 1890 must result
in victory for tho common people,
or the hope of American liberty is
lost and recovery impossible through
methods now sanctioned by low.
The campaign must be waged
against the combined foe of two
continents, against the allied forces
of the plutocracy and tyranny
throughout the world, and in the
light of recent events it must be
the most aggiessive and offensive
campaign ever waged in this coun
try. We can expect no permanent
relief without a struggle, and there
fore lot us precipitate tho conflict in
time and on lines that will expose
the unsound money of the sound
money advocates.
This can be
effectually done by a national boy
cott on the unsound, un-American,
unconstitutional notes of the na
tional bank.
On and after September 1, 1895,
let every Knight of Labor and every
person whose love of justice is
above the sordid interests of tho
tyrants refuse to accept national
bank notes in payment for wages,
produce, or in payment of any
debt or obligation not made neces
sary by the limited legal-tender
qualities of the notes.
Boycott the notes of national
banks!

NOTICE TO INVENIORS.
There was never a time in the his
tory of our couutry when the de
mand for inventions and improve
ments in tho arts and sciences gen
erally was so groat as now.
Tho
conveniences of mankind in the fac
tory and workshop, tho household,
on the farm, and in official life,
require continual accessions to tho
apjiurtenauces and implements of
each in order to save labor, time and
expense.
The political change in
the administration of government
does not affect the progress of the
American inventor, who being on
the alert and ready to perceive tho
existing deficiencies, does not permit
the affairs of the government to deter
him from quickly conceiving the
remedy to overcome existing discrep
ancies. Too great care cannot be
exercised in choosing a competent
aud skillful attorney to prepare and
prosecute an application for patent.
Valuable interests have boon lost and
destroyed in innumerable instances
by tlie employment of incompetent
counsel, and esjiecially is this advice
applicable to those who adopt the
“ No patent, no pay” system. Inven
tors who entrust their business to
this class of attorneys do so at im
minent risk, os the breadth and
strength of the patent is never con
sidered in view of a quick endeavor
to get an allowance and obtain
the fee then due.
