down the Coquille country among
the high mountains of the coast
range on a limiting and fishing ex
pedition, which lias turned out very
profitable. They killed any amount
of elk and deer during their stay.
W. T. Wright and James Brown
returned home last Tuesday, while
their California friends returned to
their homes by steamer from Coos
Bay. They brought lots of jerked
elk out of the mountains
