The undersigned, resident o f Marion county,
Oregon, takes pleasure in stating for tbe bene
fit of tbe afflicted, that in the winter of 1863-
4, I was suffering from an affection o f tbe
lungs aud kidneys, resulting from a violent
cold, I seemed to be going into rapid Con
sumption, and had began to believe that my
death was not very far distant, and all who
saw me were impressed with the same convic
tion. After trying various remedies without
any success, 1 w.a* induced to try “ Mrs.
Stipp’s Thoracic Balsam,” and to it 1 am fully
persuaded that I owe my life and present good
health. Under these circumstances, 1 feel
that I am but performing a duty to humanity
when I recommend all similarly ottlicted to
try this excellent medicine.
