M essrs . C owan A F lint , G ents :—For the
benefit of those suffering with the terrible disease
Fever and Ague, allow me to state that I was af
flicted with the Chills and Fever which afterward
turned into the Dumb Ague.
I had tried all the
most celebrated physicians of this city for four
months, but grew worse until I was scarcely able
to walk, with loss of appetite, night sweats, etc.
In fact, I began to believe my case hopeless, when
finally a friend induced me to try your Ague King.
I had no eonfieenco in it, supposing it to be like
other medicines the base being quinine. I used
but two bottles of it and in ten »lays 1 was a sound
man. Three months 1ms passed since I used your
remedy, and I never felt better or stronger in my
life. After paying five hundred dollars and lying
idle four months, I am cured. I consider the Ague
King a dead shot for fever or fever and ague.

the rugged canyons and fastnesses of that
section for two days and a hall (one report
has it four days) without anything to eat,
worth speaking of. Towards the last they
are said to have meditated making a meal on
a luckless canine they had along. How true
it is we are not prepared to say. Anyhow
it is a remarkable adventure for meu carry
ing a compass to go through. The trouble |
seems to have been, they did not have confi

A B old R obbery . Mr. J. Robinson had
one hundred dollars, iu coin, stolen from out
of hi» dwelling house uno day this week, while
he was out at work uo the ranch, The house
is situated close to the road, and the villain
must have been of a dnriug stripe to accom
plish such a theft in broad daylight. One
individual was arrested on suspicion and after
a preliminary examination by Justice Burns,
whs bound over to await the action of the
Grand Jury.

A S tr > ng W ind . — We learn from Wm,
AugD. who is just in from Link river, that
a strong Southwestern breeze came up there
lately which had the effect of driving back
tile waters of Link river (a stream about the
size of Roge*' river) into Klamath L ike so as
to leave the stream almost entirely dry,
and gave people residing there an opportu
nity to pick up all the fish they wanted.
Such an occurrence is said to be common.
