LOCAL INTELLIGENCE.
O dd F ellow ’ s B all .—“Many moons have wax
ed and waned,” aud many sad changes have passed
before us, since so large, respectable and pleasant
a party has been witnessed in this place, as that
given by Jacksonville Lodge No. 10, I. O. O. F-,
at Horne’s llall, on last Tuesday evening. T he
M usicians , who had practiced expressly for the
occasion, were “in the vein,” and their gay and
lively airs filled the Hall with entrancing harmony.
T he G uests were imbued with a proper spirit for
tho occasion, and continued to “ehase the flying
hours with glowing feet,” till the first blush of
morning bade them rest from their pleasures.
T he S upper was the most excellent one ever pre
pared in Jacksonville ; and the table most sumpt
uously furnished and tastily arranged. There was
n. cause tor complaint, and no fault was found ;
but all was joy and harmony. And it is ever thus
with all things connected with that glorious Insti
tution, bound together by the golden links of
Friendship, Love and Truth.
