Church for the Jacksonville charge, will be hold
' at this place on the 5th and 6th of March—T. F.

Pursuant to the call of the Democratic Central
Committee of Jackson county, Oregon, the Democ*
racy of Jacksonville Precinct, in said County, met
at the Court House in said precinct on Saturday
the 5th day of February, 1870, for the purpose ot.
appointing nine delegates to represent said Pre­
cinct in tho County Convention to be held in tbe
town of Jacksonville on Saturday, the 12th day of
February, 1870. A. M. Berry was eleoted Chair­
man, and J. R. Wade Secretary.
On motion of W. W. Fiddler, it was resovlcd
that Delegates to the County Convention be selec­
ted by acclamation. The following Delegates were
then selected by acclamation, to wit: T. G.
Reames, James D. Fay, James L. Loudon, Silas
J, Day, Henry Klippel, W. W. Fiddler, Granville
Naylor, M. A. Brentano and J. N. T. Miller.
On motion of W. W. Fiddler, it was resolved
that the proceedings of this meeting be published
in t‘:e D emocratic N ews .
On motion, the meeting then adjourned.

cate county ro^d, from Jacksonville to Josephine
county line, was presented, when J. W. Hays
made complaint, and petitioned for damages to the
amount of $150, for running the road through hi.«

J. Plymale were appointed viewers to assess the
damages.----- Kasper Kubli was granted license for
one year, for selling spirituous liquors at his place
on Applegate.----- W. Nus A Charles Schneider
were granted license to keep a ferry on Klamath
river, three miles below the Link river bridge,
owned by George Nourse.----- 0. T. Bruwn, Den­
nis Crawley and A. J. Burnett appointed viewers,
and James S. Howard surveyor, to locate a county
road, to commence near Crawley’s ranch on the
Klamath river, and run east to Bloody Point, on
the California line, via Lost river and Tule Lake.
The following Road Supervisors have made re­
ports, which have been accepted : Wm. Kahler,
N. 12; J. S. Lacy, No. 4 ; J. V. Ammerman, No.
2 ; Sarn’l Rush, No. 13 ; James Miller, No. 17 ;
