ordinance to establish a grade on Fifth street,
improve the same by grading and building side­
walks thereon, and to declare the kind of such
improvements, assess the cost thereof on the ad-
jacent property owners and to declare an emer­
gency, and the whole of such ordinance from
Sections one (I) to four (4) inclusive, and the
whole of such ordinance be, and the same is
hereby repealed, and to he ot no further force or
effect.

of 250 or 300 pounds when they are

and bring its owner a very satisfac­
tory price.
How to Feed the Pony.
A small pony, especially if a Shet­
land. does not usually require much
grain. A quart of corn In the morn­
ing and a quart of oats nt noon anil
at uight should Is* sutlieient. Give It
what hay it wants and. if the weather
is suitable and there Is good pasture,
turn It out to grass whenever there is
a chance.

ture houses, and other places of entertainment.
The City o( Bandon does ordain as follows:
Section I.
I hat all moving picture shows (so-
called) where admission fee is charged, shall and
are hereby required to secure a license from th<
City of Bandon by applying to the Recorder, and
paying therrfor, the »um of Five ($5) dollars per
month, and no license shall be issued for less
period than one (I) month, and such license
must be in advance.
Sec. 2. That all shows, including therein,
farces, comedies, or any presentation of a dramatic,
comic or operatic nature [»resented by any com­
pany, oi any special performance given by one
or more persons (including so-called vaudeville)
if advertised as a special feature, or drawing card
by any of the picture theatres (whether adver­
tised directly or indirectly) shall be required to
pay a license therefor of two and a half ($2.50)
dollars per each and every night, excepting only
therefrom entertainments or shown, given by local
talent for benefit of public charities, or loc al
amateur performances of a local character, to l»e
required or su [»ended in the discretion of the
Recorder, which licenses shall be secured in
advance.
Sec 3. That any person, or persons, firm or
corporation, or the manager, agent or representa­
tive of such owner* conducting such places of
business or presenting such shows without having
fir t complied with the provisions hereof, shall
upon conviction of the violation of this ordinance
l»e deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
such conviction be fined in any sum not to exceed
F ifty (50) dollars.
