made, no trace of the body of Mrs
J B'gne, who is supposed to have
jumped into the ocean last Friday
morning, has not vet been found
and Frank Forshay, who is a
nephew by marriage, has offered a
reward of fioo for the return of the
body.
When Mrs. Btgne was last seen,
she was headed toward the ocean'
and tracks were discovered, which
are supposed to have been hers
along the beach, and her cape was
also found along the beach, thus
making it practically certain that
the woman threw herself jnto the sea.
Mrs. Bigne had acted rather queer-
ly for some time, and as she was
staying at the Forshay home, they
were watching
her closely, but
on Friday morning while the
family were at. breakfast she some
how slipped out, leaving a note in
her room bidding her friends good
bye, and although she could not
have been gone more than ten or
fifteen minutes before the fact was
discovered, they were unable to
find her, although search was com
menced at once, and to date nothing
has been heard of her since.
Mrs. Bigne was born in Iowa and
was 56 years old at the time of her
disappearance. She has been here
about 18 years and was well known
and highly respected by all who
knew her.
She had grieved over the loss of
her husband who died in 1905 and
it is thought that she had become
partially demented.
The only living relatives known
are her sister Mrs. Lettie Jenkins
and family, Mrs. Forshay oeing a
