T he S teamer K ilburn has been
chartered to take one hundred tone
of railroad iron into Tillamook for
the new Pacific Railway and Naviga­
tion Co., now building between that
place and Hillsboro. Work is being
rapidly constructed at both ends, and
by the end of the year it is hoped the
two ends will meet. Tillamook is an
ideal summer resort for the Port­
landers, and with tbo new through
road direct to the ocean, it will bring
a groat many people into that country.
