Franco and Venezuela have now
entered tbo riug and will outertaiu
the public by diplomat ic maneuvers
with a tendency to bulldoze, settle, or

Now it is rumored that tho lVace

shonld not, as natious are not done

the chances are fair that a scrap of

Elsewhere iu this issue is a ood ar

brewer spent hundreds of dollars,
while he just, as persistently manu

and accumulated thonsaudsof dollars
from the same traffic that was the
downfall of his child. Ho tried to
save his own, but had no regard for
other men and women.
Altbongh tho saloons have been
closed for some time, there havo been
several cases of drunkennass very
noticeable, showing that some person
or persons are violatiug the law, while
it also shows that there are several
individuals in this viciuity who per
sist in making themsilves a spectacle
for other people to look at, and not a
very edifying spectacle either. Hu
mor has frequently reached ns of
kegs of beer going out to different
places, aud that minors havo been
able to get it from tho Brewery. It
is bad enough to sell that which de
stroys iutellect aud body, to meu who
are of age, but tho man who will lead
pff the young aud turn them into the
road to ruiu for tho sake of gain, is
au enemy to all that is good aud holy.

coming down to help a woman, my

says that "tho wife shall be a crown
