ter reviewing the trouble previously

assessors, the Tribune says:
We have examined the work of our
present assessor, for this year, and
find the roll not only neat, clean, and
plainly written, but tiud that be lias
taken great pains to straighten out
tangled descriptions, afidTo Hssess all
real estate to the rightful owners,
having by hard work and great pa
tience made plain and Comirehensive
present ownership township plates,
which are of great value and should
be kept up by future Assessors. Mr.
Dean has evidently performed his
duty'well, and «although some errors
may yet appear, he has taken the
course which the law contemplates,
and which will lead to future correct
and business like assessments of the
county, as regards ownership and de- !
scription of real property. With a[ i
correct and proper assessment of the
county, there will be little complaint
against .the sheriff on account of er
rors in delinquent tax sales.
