Tbe run of salmon has been very

On Friday tbe catch waa above 1,400,
and nearly as large ou Saturday.
Monday was tbe big catch for tbe
season, ou which occasion, over 4,500
were brought io. Tueeday’s catch was
above 2.000, aod yesterday about as
many.
Elder D. A. Auderson and wife, who
have beeu doing missionary work in
Coos County for over throe mouths,
left last Monday for Portland, where
Mr. Anderson went to cousult with
Elder Griffith in regard to the mis­
sionary work tu Oregon. From Port­
laud they will go to Hood River, aud
from thence to Cobduo, in Eastern
Oregon.
Enterprise: Ernest Folsom, a young
man about 19 years of age, met with
a serious accident while working at
Minard & Folsom’s mill on the East
Fork, Monday. He was working near
