Lewis autographs a copy of his book “Tribal Histories of the Willamette Valley” for Tribal Council Secretary Michael Cherry during his author visit at the Tribal gym on Thursday, Feb. 22. Approximately 50 people attended the event that was hosted by the Grand Ronde Tribal Library. It included a book raffl e and take-home meal. The book was released last November and it takes a deep dive into the stories of the numerous Tribes that eventually ended up at the Grand Ronde Indian Reservation in the mid-1850s.
