Dear Smoke Signals:
We would like to thank everyone for all of your support, love and kind-
ness during the last several days and weeks. Kathy was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She will
be dearly missed.
First off, thank you to Richard Smart and everyone at Bollman9s Tribute
Center for making all of the arrangements and coordinating the service.
The service from start to onish was amazing and it was a day our family
will never forget.
Thank you to the hospice nurses and staff for assisting in taking care of
Kathy during her onal weeks.
Thank you to the Tribe and the Member Services Department for the
generous burial fund.
Thank you to the Elders Activity Center for allowing us to host the re-
ception along with the kitchen staff for preparing the meal.
Thank you to the Tribal Cemetery groundskeepers as well as family and
friends who assisted us with digging and preparing the grave site.
Thank you to Father Amir Irudayaraj and Deacon David Breidwell for
ofociating the Rosary Service, the Catholic Funeral Mass and graveside
memorial.
Most of all, thank you to the Grand Ronde community as well as our
extended family and friends and anybody else we didn9t mention directly.
Kathy and all of us greatly appreciate anyone who took time to visit her.
Your thoughts, prayers and efforts have made a difference in our family
during this time.

ty of Oregon, is published twice a month. No portion of this publication may be reprinted
without permission.
Our editorial policy is intended to encourage input from Tribal members and readers
about stories printed in the Tribal newspaper. However, all letters received must be
signed by the author, an address must be given and a phone number or e-mail address
must be included for veriocation purposes. Full addresses and phone numbers will not
be published unless requested. Letters must be 400 words or less.
