GRAND RONDE ROYALTY
Participating in Royalty is an excellent opportunity for Tribal youth to
learn our traditions, powwow protocol, and public speaking. Participants
represent the Tribe by attending various community events and powwows
where we also work with the Veterans Special Event Board (Veterans
SEB) Royalty participants.
Serving on Royalty requires a considerable commitment from the
participant and their parents and/or sponsor. Royalty participants (in-
cluding parent or sponsor) must attend all required events and activities:
organizational meetings, powwows, parades, fundraisers and more. We
encourage all Tribal youth ages 4 – 18 to join.
The Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde offers generous benefits and competitive pay.

DONATIONS REQUESTED
Grand Ronde Language Education Building Project
Funding obtained to date: HUD ICDBG $500,000
HUD IHBG $167,000
BIA
$70,000
$737,000
The Tribe is pursuing a new language building
on the Tribal campus. While our current grant
funding is for K-4, a larger building could serve
both younger and older children. The new
building would allow the Tribe to move the Lilu
preschool class out of the rented modular
classroom and give them room for more
children.
The Tribe is reaching out to different
foundations to help fund this endeavor. Foundations may contribute to the project
but they want to see local community participation before they do. The Tribe
would love to show these foundations how much the tribal community supports
this effort through its willingness to donate. Please consider donating $1, $5, $10
or $20 to help give our students the space and the classrooms that they need. While
a dollar here and there adds up, it also gives us a list of people who have donated
and helps demonstrate our community support for the project.
Donations can be made by sending a check to the Tribe’s Finance Department. The
check should be made out to the “Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Tribe” with
“for Language Bldg” specified on the notes line. Donations can be mailed to the
Finance Department, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, 9615 Grand Ronde
Road, Grand Ronde, OR 97347. For more
information please call Angela Fasana, Education
Department manager, at 503-879-2284.
